Pair of rare, antique Chinese Qianlong Period carved cinnabar lacquer scholar's table cabinets; of rectangular form with two doors, each opening to reveal three drawers, all surmounted by two further square-section drawers; each showing a series of six side panels, with intricately detailed scenes of sages and attendants gathering fruit, together depicting a continuous narrative; each mounted with gilt bronze upper handle, door and drawer pulls, and lock; a similar example resides at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York (Accession Number: 2015.500.1.10a-e); L: 13 1/2" (each)
