Large and heavy finely carved jade model of a recumbent qilin with head raised facing to the side, it's horn supporting a decorative color in low relief with roped medallion, it's body with shallow relief of archaistic designs, it's tail curled on it's back in high relief and appears to rest upon a bordered plinth, the yellow jade of fine color with areas of mild inclusions and rivering; L7 1/2" x H4" (Approx.)
