French naval officers sword, 3rd empire Napoleon with an elaborate cross guard, brass mounting with an anchor, a fuller running the full length of the blade, mounted with leather, the blade in extremely fine condition with hard crease, the elaborate cross guard and knuckle bow with anchors and naval motifs, on the blades back ridge chiseled with naval motifs and an inscription indicating French sword, third empire around 1850-1860; With Scabbard L 37 1/4" (Approx.)
