Antique Bronze Kohl Pot, intricately carved and designed, with heart shaped feet (two are broken), with a Flower of Life at the top of the neck (symbolize the six days of creation or the six kingdoms: Animal, Human, Plant, Mineral, Angelic and Unknown. The Flower of Life has the same shape as a snowflake symbolizing water which is essential to all life). The stopper, similar to a fleur de les with points around the edges; Overall good condition with original patina, losses to 2 of the 4 feet, minor wear and pitting overall; Size: 7 1/4'' H x 2 1/4'' W Provenance: Collected between 1945-1960 by Carl O. Winberg, former United States Government diplomat, agricultural attache and Foreign Service officer serving across Indonesia, India Burma, Bangladesh and Australia; thence by descent to the present owner.
