Antique Chinese late 19th/early 20th century carved bamboo brush pot in the form of a large water buffalo standing atop a stylized field with it's head down feeding, fully openwork carved beneath the body and legs, on it's side a smaller buffalo being ridden by a farmer holding a swatch of wheat; overall good condition with patina, minor surface flaws and scratches with age, minor splits; H 8 1/4"
