Pair Antique Yoni Hindi Copper Water Vessel, "yoni" shape (stylized female sex) with a connecting "lingam" (stylized male sex). The Yoni is the symbol of the Hindu Goddess Shakti, while the male counterpart is the Hindu God Shiva's Lingam. Their union represents the eternal process of creation and regeneration. Used for prayer rituals, and would hold holy water; both with minor dents and wear throughout; largest approximately 18 1/2'' long
Provenance: Collected between 1945-1960 by Carl O. Winberg, former United States Government diplomat, agricultural attache and Foreign Service officer serving across Indonesia, India Burma, Bangladesh and Australia; thence by descent to the present owner.
