Early 19th Century, Luba Style Stool, with 3 figures holding the top of the stool on their heads, 2 male and 1 female figure. With decorative cross hash marks in triangular shape on the bottom. Ribbed edges with an old repair with metal across a small section on top. Size 16.5'' H x 14.5''W (at widest)

Provenance: Dr. Peter T. Furst (1922-2015) collection thence by decent. Dr. Peter T. Furst was an anthropologist, author (150+ books) and teacher as well as the Foreign Fellow of the Linnean Society of London. Dr. Furst curated many exhibitions throughout the years.
