Antique Indian bronze statue of a mythical creature, 19th century or earlier, with custom wood base; some wear, some patina, the front paws broken off; H 11 1/2" x L 4 3/4" x 1 3/4" (approx.) Provenance: Collected between 1945-1960 by Carl O. Winberg, former United States Government diplomat, agricultural attaché and Foreign Service officer serving across Indonesia, India Burma, Bangladesh and Australia; thence by descent to the present owner.
