Antique, 18th century, Sino-Tibetan gilt bronze seated Maitreya figure with crossed legs and arms wearing finely detailed jewelry and chains to upper and lower body with heavy allover heavy beadwork, pendulum ears adorned with circular earrings set with turquois jewels beneath elaborate crown similarly detailed, finely incised hairstyle with fine ornamentation above top knot, hands holding lotus stems rising to buds over shoulders, seated on double lotus base with twin beaded borders, unopened base capped with copper incised varja in floral pattern; overall good condition, one flower repaired done in the time of casting, age wear, surface wear, surface soiling; H 6 1/4" (Approx.)
