Very fine antique circa 1900 venetian hand-blown glass compote, the wide and raised foot supporting a shell form scalloped rim bowl of gold flecked and iridescent glass adorned with large handle in the form of a stylized animal holding yellow fruit and yellow and black eye, the animal of gold flecked glass with areas of transitioning from clear to light pink, the animals head with some gilt applied to surface; fine condition with minor surface wear and surface scratches; H 6 3/4" x W 9 1/2"
