Antique Japanese, probably Meiji period, lacquered stacking box atop a deep chocolate colored stand, the 4 tiered lacquer stacking box allover applied with very thick gilt lacquer, cover with scene of twin ducks in a pond beneath a rocky shore with overreaching pine trees, bamboo and duck flying above, body with continuous mountainous landscape scene depicting numerous trees and pavilions; as-is condition with numerous flaws, chips, losses to enamel, one tier with large split and possible repairs, surface wear and scratches, other flaws and losses to lacquer; H 8 1/4" x L 7" x W 6 1/4"
