Chinese Western Zhou Dynasty bronze ding vessel; the deep, bulbous body set upon three subtly splayed cylindrical legs, and surmounted by two arched handles; the body incised and cast with relief designs of taotie masks and scrolling animal forms, on a leiwen patterned ground; interrupted by a notched flange above each leg; with four-character inscription to base; H: 9 1/2" (approx.)
