Seymchan - Iron pallasite (PMG)
Hekandue River, Seymchan, Magadan District, Russia
Fashioned from a single piece of the rare pallasite portion of the Seymchan fall, one half of this amazing little 2 1/2 inch sphere shimmers with the silvery metal Widmanstätten patterns of kamacite and taenite, but the other half is a mass of yellow-green olivine "space crystals", found only in rare pallasites, weighing approximately 750 grams.
