Provenance: From the Collection of Robyn and John Fuchs

These items were handed down to the current owner, Mr. John Fuchs, by his grandmother before she passed away. His grandparents were from Austria and lived in Vienna at the time the pieces were acquired.

His grandfather, Robert Granichstadten, was an importer/exporter in Vienna from the late 19th century until the mid-1940's when he passed away. He traveled regularly to China during this time and brought the set of twelve bowls back to Vienna circa 1900.

These pieces arrived in the United States in the 1950's after arrangements were made by Mrs. Granichstadten to ship her deceased husband's collection to Wellesley, Massachusetts, where she had resided since the late 1930's.; D: 4 3/4" (each); L: 24 1/2" (box)
