Large and very elaborate late Edo to Meiji period Japanese Imari porcelain bowl, the interior fully decorated with village scene depicting forward pavilion with 2 scholars and attendants as well as pavilion in the distance and reclining figure in front of a river with 3 scholars beneath pine trees on river bank all beneath typical Imari pattern boarders, the exterior is similarly decorated with Imari patterned boarders with allover gilt accents, the foot with partial central glaze and blue circle, accompanied with circular wood stand; overall fine condition with minor wear and flaws consistent with age, minor loss to gilt and enamel, stand broken and repaired; W 14 1/4" x H 4 1/4" without stand
