FINELY CARVED JADEITE HANGING CHAIN VASE
Finely carved, Chinese jadeite hanging chain vase; the flattened urn form with reticulated archaistic chilong motifs in relief, the matching cover surmounted with an elaborate chilong biting a branch of lingzhi ruyi fungus showing some bright apple green suffusions; with two handles at the shoulder, attached to chains of loose links with hanging support; jadeite of a mostly white and pale icy green coloration with some lavender suffusions and spots of bright apple green; Provenance: Christie's London, 13 May 2011, Lot 1364; H: 8 1/2" (body only); with ornately carved, stepped hardwood stand with scrolling openwork hanger
