Chinese late Ming Dynasty blue and white porcelain dish, interior decorated with a pair of phoenixes in flight amidst the leaves of two large peony blossoms, the well painted with a lotus meander and the everted rim with a narrow chevron band, the exterior painted with a pair of dragons, their tails metamorphosing into undulating scrolls; overall good condition with usual wear consistent with age, section of foot rim missing likely during firing; W 12 3/4"
