Antique, Qing dynasty, large Sino-Tibetan fine gilt copper alloy seated Maitreya figure with crossed legs and hands in mudra, fully decorated in beaded jewels set with turquoise and glass cabochons and semi transparent doti, shoulders flanked by flowering lotus stems supporting the wheel of law, hairstyle with original blue pigment remaining draped to each shoulders with double top knot and finial, central crown panel with detailed dragon mask in high relief, seated atop finely detailed double lotus base with twin beaded borders, all atop a detailed plinth with animal figures, botanicals, and pillars in frieze, inscribed with lengthy Tibetan three-line calligraphy, copper unopened base with recessed varja of fine incised design; overall good condition, age wear, surface wear, surface soiling; L 7" x H 10 3/4" (Approx.)
