Amethyst Geode Table Brazil A hefty amethyst 'pond' forms the centerpiece of this lot, with fat shimmering crystal points ranging from deep purple to cloudy white at the base and the cut edges of this sizable geode have been highly polished, the better to show the color contrast from the base to the tip of the crystals. There is also one small blossom of plate-like pale yellow Calcite growth, and the exterior of the geode has been left in its characteristic rough grey-green natural state. It measures 29 x 21 x 11 inches at the widest points and is presented within the four curved wooden uprights of a coffee table, the glass top cut to align with the contours of the stone beneath and providing a perfect window into its deep, calming interior. The table itself stands 18 1/2 inches high.
